Children’s Ministry - Littles

Littles ages 6-10
We invite our young children to experience Jesus and God’s unchanging love through the knowledge and understanding of His Word; The Bible! It is our hope that they would experience a personal relationship with Jesus and that we would foster a sensitivity towards each child’s personality, giftings, and unique needs in a safe, caring environment.

In a relaxed setting, we use various creative means that Scripture would come to life in each student’s heart personally. Stories, dance, art, music, crafts, drama, gardening, and animal care are some of these means of application - regularly used that God’s Word can penetrate both mind and heart. For our Littles, church should be fun!

Men

It is our desire to fulfill the mandate for our Men of God from Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” We believe it is important to encourage our Christian brothers to consider their responsibility as priests of their homes, serving their spouse and children, and spiritually lead them in the ways of our Lord, Jesus. We gather twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Thursday evenings for a Men’s Dinner and teaching.

Usher

The usher ministry is an important ministry because the usher is usually the first person that people see as they walk in the door. They are the ones who make our guests feel welcome and comfortable. They also assist the Pastor by helping facilitate an atmosphere of comfort and security throughout the duration of the service. Our purpose is to serve the body of Christ at Bethany by providing a warm, comfortable atmosphere where people can come and worship God together. I Peter 4:10-11 "so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”

Children’s Ministry - Tweens

Tweens ages 11-14
Not only is Jesus our Friend and Brother but He is our Lord. This truth makes room to be applied to the every day cultural and social challenge for each tween today. Discussion with topical Bible studies are explored in a relaxed environment as we ponder how Jesus can be invited into every area of our lives as Lord, and the tremendous potential outcome of such an invitation! Prayer, community service, and relationship are fundamental to our tween experience. Drama, art, crafts, community art evangelism, outings and service are all part of living our faith; all while having fun!

We foster a welcoming supportive environment being sensitive to our students as their curiosity and questions are welcomed.

Women

Our Women’s Ministry seeks to encourage every aspect of a woman’s life as a married, single, divorced and/or widow. We encourage support and prayer through our Bible studies every Thursday at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall. We select a biblical topic to study together and dive right into discovering God’s insight for today’s woman. We also look forward to our annual Fall Women’s Retreat.

Hospitality

Our team that serves the Hospitality Ministry invites you to join us before our service begins for coffee, hot chocolate and warm bagels w/cream cheese. Hmmm.

We encourage fellowship immediately after service in our Fellowship Room with assorted pastries and an occasional pot of soup, salad bar or even a BBQ. We want everyone to feel at “home” and enjoy one another’s company.

Youth

The Bethany Youth Ministry is dedicated to helping high school teens strengthen their relationship with Christ. Our focus is to assist them in understanding that the Bible has all the answers to today’s social issues. We gather together during our Sunday Worship Services. We further encourage our youth to discover their purpose and how they may serve among our body of believers.

Prayer

Our team of prayer warriors provide opportunities for times of prayer as a community through weekly prayer gatherings on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. Anyone may submit prayer requests in person or through our prayer email loop (howardmayeda@gmail.com) so that we may pray for the requests. All are welcome to participate.

Teaching

Bethany has equipped several of our church members serving on Pastor Howard’s teaching staff. These men and women share the preaching pulpit at our Sunday Worship Services.

Our discipleship series is also offered with classes in various topics, including Bethany 101 and Pathway to Growth classes .
